Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently had our floors and stairs done by EZ CON. Ross and his team (literally every person) was great! Their workmanship was impeccable. More so, Ross’ behavior, care, and sincerity to make sure our every small request was catered to is second to none. Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ross and his team did a great job with placing new engineered hardwood and staining my stairs. They started on the day we had scheduled over a month in advance and were done ahead of schedule.

Communication was easy, the price was fair and the final product is fantastic. I definitely would recommend working with these guys

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Hands down, this was the easiest first-time experience we've had with getting floors installed in a condo. From selecting the right flooring (we own a dog), to removing and disposing of carpets, raising the flooring in two rooms, placing flooring over the entirety of our tiled condo, and installing all-new baseboards—this wasn't an easy job. However, we couldn't be happier with the results.

Here's how our process played out for our unfurnished condo, measuring under 1000 square feet:

1) We provided the square footage and initiated contact through the website to obtain a general quote, sharing our flooring preferences.
2) We booked an appointment and visited the EZ Con showroom near the airport to handpick our flooring.
3) EZ Con conducted an in-home visit for precise measurements and a more detailed quote. They brought generously-sized flooring samples, allowing us to see how they complemented different room lighting.
4) Once we confirmed the work with a deposit, things were set in motion.
5) Installation was scheduled, and over a two-day process, our floors were skillfully laid. We completed the journey by making the final payment.

Ross and his team executed the project flawlessly. Their service was top-notch, and they maintained a high level of tidiness, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills, resulting in work of exceptional quality. Not to mention, they're all really nice people.

We wholeheartedly endorse EZ Con and remain deeply appreciative of the recommendation that led us to them.

FAQs

What type of hardwood is the best?

The best type of hardwood flooring depends on your lifestyle, design preferences, and budget. Oak and maple are popular for their durability and classic look, while hickory offers a rustic charm. If you're seeking premium luxury, exotic woods like Brazilian cherry or teak are excellent choices. At Ez Con, we help you select the perfect hardwood flooring to match your needs and aesthetic vision.

What thickness of hardwood should I buy?

The standard thickness for solid hardwood flooring is 3/4 inch, which offers excellent durability and can be refinished multiple times. Engineered hardwood typically comes in 3/8 to 1/2 inch thickness, making it a great choice for areas with fluctuating humidity. Ez Con can guide you to the right thickness based on your flooring needs and the environment of your space.

Why are my hardwood floors raising?

Your hardwood floors are raising or "buckling" due to excess moisture or humidity in your environment. This can happen if there's water damage, improper installation, or not enough room for the wood to expand and contract naturally. Changes in weather, plumbing leaks, or inadequate subfloor moisture barriers can also contribute to this issue. At Ez Con, we always install our floors properly and provide expert advice on preventing these problems. Call us if you need help restoring your floors or replacing your floors.

Can hardwood floors be installed over concrete?

Yes, hardwood floors can be installed over concrete, but it depends on the type of hardwood. Engineered hardwood is a great option for concrete subfloors because it's designed to withstand moisture fluctuations. Solid hardwood requires additional preparation, such as installing a plywood subfloor or moisture barrier. At Ez Con, our experts assess your space and guide you to the best installation method for long-lasting results.

How do I maintain my hardwood floors?

Proper maintenance is key to preserving the beauty of your hardwood floors. Regularly sweep or vacuum with a hardwood floor attachment to remove dirt and debris. Use a damp (not wet) microfiber mop with a hardwood-safe cleaner for deeper cleaning. Avoid harsh chemicals, excess water, or steam cleaners, as they can damage the finish. At Ez Con, we also recommend using furniture pads and rugs in high-traffic areas to prevent scratches and wear.
